Who We Are

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power
As the country’s largest POU serving 4 million residents and businesses in Los Angeles, LADWP operates the biggest public power portfolio of energy efficiency programs in the nation as well. LADWP’s portfolio strives to make water and energy efficiency offerings available to all of its rate classes and market segments, including residential and non-residential resource and non-resource programs.

Central Coast Community Energy
Central Coast Community Energy is a public agency that sources competitively priced electricity from clean and renewable energy resources. CCCE is locally controlled and governed by board members who represent each community served by the agency. Revenue generated by CCCE stays local and helps keep electricity rates affordable for customers, while also funding innovative energy programs designed to lower greenhouse gas emissions and stimulate economic development. CCCE serves 436,000 customers throughout the Central Coast, including residential, commercial and agricultural customers in communities located within Monterey, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz counties.

Pacific Gas & Electric Company
PG&E’s responsibilities as an energy provider go far beyond our core mission of providing safe, reliable, affordable and clean energy to our 16 million customers. We also have a responsibility to build a better future for everyone whose lives we touch. This means delivering for our hometowns, serving our planet and leading with love. It means making it right and making it safe. It means helping drive clean energy technologies, while also ensuring that their benefits are accessible to all. And it means helping communities build resilience against climate change—as well as thwarting climate change—in ways that leave no one behind.

East Bay Community Energy
East Bay Community Energy is a not-for-profit public agency that began governing Community Choice Energy service in 2018. EBCE exists to provide more renewable energy at competitive rates to our customers. EBCE reinvests earnings back into the community to create local green energy jobs, local programs, and clean power projects. We supply electricity to all accounts (residential, business, and municipal) and PG&E delivers it to you. The Joint Power Agency currently serves Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Tracy, and Union City. The unincorporated areas of Alameda County are also served by EBCE.

Peninsula Clean Energy
Peninsula Clean Energy is the community-led electricity provider for San Mateo County and, beginning in 2022, for the City of Los Baños. As a not-for-profit Community Choice Aggregator with a mission to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, PCE makes significant investments to expand access to sustainable and affordable energy solutions. The agency delivers carbon-free electricity and is on track to deliver electricity that is 100 percent renewable by 2025.

Marin Clean Energy
As California’s first Community Choice Aggregation Program, MCE is a groundbreaking not-for-profit public agency setting the standard in energy innovation since 2010. MCE offers renewable power at stable rates, significantly reducing energy-related greenhouse emissions and enabling millions of dollars of reinvestment in local energy programs. MCE is a load-serving entity supporting a 1,200 MW peak load. MCE provides electricity service and innovative programs to more than 540,000 customers and over a million residents and businesses across 37 communities and four Bay Area counties (Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, and Solano).

Silicon Valley Clean Energy
Silicon Valley Clean Energy is a not-for-profit, community-owned agency providing clean electricity from renewable and carbon-free sources to more than 270,000 residential and commercial customers in 13 Santa Clara County jurisdictions. As a public agency, net revenues are returned to the community to keep rates competitive and promote clean energy programs. SVCE is advancing innovative solutions to fight climate change by decarbonizing the grid, transportation, and buildings.

Bay Area Air Quality Management District
The Air District is tasked with regulating stationary sources of air pollution in the nine counties that surround San Francisco Bay: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, southwestern Solano, and southern Sonoma counties. The Board oversees policies and adopts regulations for the control of air pollution within the district. The Board also appoints the Air District’s Executive Officer/Air Pollution Control Officer, who implements these policies and gives direction to staff, as well as the District Counsel, who manages the legal affairs of the agency.

BayRen
The Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) is a collaboration of the nine counties that make up the San Francisco Bay Area. Led by the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), BayREN provides regional-scale energy efficiency programs, services, and resources. BayREN is funded by utility ratepayer funds through the California Public Utilities Commission, as well as other sources, drawing on the expertise, knowledge, and proven track record of Bay Area local governments.​

City of Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a beachside city of 8.3 square miles on the westside of Los Angeles County. Offering an environment of unparalleled natural beauty, it is home to a mix of residential communities, commercial districts, and recreational venues. The population is only around 93,000, but an influx of over 150,000 tourists, shoppers, and employees commute daily to the city, and over 8 million visitors come annually. As a national leader in environmental, economic and social sustainability, the city is working on aggressive climate action goals, including water self-sufficiency by 2023, zero waste by 2030, and carbon neutrality by 2050.

San José Clean Energy
SJCE, is San José’s locally-run, not-for-profit electricity supplier, providing residents and businesses with clean energy at competitive rates since 2019. Operated by the City of San José’s Community Energy Department, SJCE is dedicated to creating a more sustainable future for our community and future generations. SJCE plays a crucial role in Climate Smart San José, the city’s climate action plan.

Southern California Edison
As one of the nation’s largest electric utilities, SCE delivers power to 15 million people in 50,000 square-miles across central, coastal and Southern California. SCE is a nationally recognized leader in California’s clean energy transition, which has some of the most ambitious science-based climate-change goals in the US, including economy-wide net-zero GHG emissions by 2045, and net negative emissions thereafter.

3C-REN
The Tri-County Regional Energy Network (3C-REN) is a partnership between the Counties of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura established to deliver energy-saving programs and industry training that help reduce energy use, strengthen local job markets, and support efforts to achieve climate goals.

City of Irvine

Since its incorporation in 1971, Irvine has become a nationally recognized city, with a population of 307,670 that spans 66 square miles and is recognized as one of America’s safest and most successful master-planned urban communities. Irvine was the third City in California and the first in Orange County to adopt a carbon neutral goal by 2030, known as the Irvine ACHIEVES resolution. Through this resolution, the City has implemented numerous community and municipal programs aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, including Cool Irvine – the ambitious carbon neutrality campaign developed and funded through a $1 million grant competition among California cities to develop the most innovative pathways to carbon neutrality.

San Diego Community Power

San Diego Community Power (SDCP) is a Community Choice Aggregator (CCA) committed to providing municipalities, businesses, and residents in the six-member cities and unincorporated San Diego County with clean, renewable energy at competitive rates and investing in innovative programs that benefit the environment and the economy in our communities.
